ARAISE at Vukobratović Days of Robotics in Belgrade
In November 2025, the ARAISE project proudly took part in one of the region’s largest robotics and STEM education events – the Vukobratović Days of Robotics, held at Sava Centar in Belgrade on 14–15 November 2025.
Organised by the Dečiji Inovacioni Centar with academic support and in honour of the legacy of professor Miomir Vukobratović, a pioneer of humanoid robotics, this two-day event brought together thousands of visitors – including students, educators, innovators and technology enthusiasts from Serbia and the wider region.
Inspiring the Next Generation in Robotics and Technology
The Vukobratović Days of Robotics serve as a platform to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields among young people through hands-on activities, competitions and expert talks. The event featured:
Competitive robotics challenges across multiple age categories
Interactive workshops in robotics, electronics, programming and related technologies
Exhibitions of technological breakthroughs and innovations
Panels and lectures on topics ranging from AI and education to engineering and future technologies
All activities were free for participants and visitors, making the event an inclusive celebration of curiosity, creativity and learning.
ARAISE's Contribution
At this year’s edition, ARAISE representatives engaged with students, educators and partners to share insights on robotics education and collaborative innovation. Activities showcased not only the practical applications of robotics technologies but also highlighted the importance of open, collaborative platforms such as those promoted within the ARAISE framework.
The presence of ARAISE at this high-impact event reinforced the project’s commitment to developing skills, opportunities and networks for robotics education across Europe.
A Tribute to Professor Miomir Vukobratović
The event commemorated the work of professor Miomir Vukobratović, esteemed for his groundbreaking contributions to humanoid robotics and theories of robot locomotion. Through talks and exhibitions, attendees learned about his influence on modern robotics and his enduring legacy in science and education.
